Middle School Rowing
LPBC’s Middle School Rowing Team teaches the basics of both sculling and sweep rowing. Paddling sports – such as kayaking or stand up paddleboards – are sometimes used to help the young athlete learn more about how boats maneuver, giving the child a multi-disciplinary experience. Athletes will develop an understanding of how boats move and balance, as well as the impact of wind and waves on the watercraft. The aim is to improve a young athlete’s confidence and intuition on the water as well as their athletic skill and overall boating competence.
The Middle School Team practices year-round at all three locations. New Rowers are welcome to join at any time.
