Lincoln Park Boat Club

Lincoln Park Boat Club (LPBC) is Chicago’s oldest rowing and paddling club, offering a wide range of rowing and paddling teams, programs, and classes, in the heart of Chicago.

Our mission is to make boating accessible, affordable, safe, and fun for club associates and all members of the Chicago metropolitan community.

We are committed to making rowing and paddling accessible in the heart of Chicago and we are the only club to offer rowing (sweep and sculling) as well as paddling and SUP, all from our prime location in the heart of Lincoln Park.

Our membership dues are the lowest in the city and significantly lower than many other clubs in Chicago.

Discounted rates are available for seniors and students, as well as for families and others.

LPBC has two prime locations in the heart of the city of Chicago

The Lincoln Park Boat House has direct access to the calm waters of the lagoon in the heart of Lincoln Park, and paddling access to Lake Michigan via Diversey Harbor

Our competitive rowing teams boat from “Bubbly Creek” at Eleanor St on the South Side, to train on the long straight stretch of the South Branch, Chicago River

Current conditions

Members are advised to make their own risk assessments before rowing or paddling.

The “four oar rule” is in place when the combined air and water temperature is below 100F
