We offer classes for all skill levels several times a week:
Intro to SUP
One session class to get you the basics and up on the board!
Curious what’s up with SUP? Give it a try on the calm waters of the Lincoln Park Lagoon. No experience required. This class is for beginners who want to find out what Stand-up Paddle boarding is all about. We will cover basic skills like standing up on the board, turns, and safety considerations. All equipment will be provided. Get your feet wet in the fastest growing outdoor sport! This one-session class is a great option for first-timers who want to learn the basics of the sport so they can enjoy it on their own.
SUP & TRX Fitness & Performance
Get ready to race!
Learn to paddle board and improve your performance in this comprehensive 4-week course designed for all levels.
We will take you from first time on a board to your first short distance SUP race all while improving your overall fitness. Each class lasts 2 hours and will start with a warm-up using TRX functional fitness equipment. TRX training is a proven approach to improve movement quality, muscular strength, and endurance.
We will then get out on the water to work on SUP stroke technique. Based on the participants skill level we will practice drills from basic skills to racing specific techniques and tricks. Past participants have dominated in local paddle races after taking this course! Make this your summer of fitness and fun on the water in a supportive community.
Individuals who complete this class will have the option to join LPBC at a discounted rate.
